World Leukemia Awareness Month

September is Leukemia Awareness Month. Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Leukemia occurs most often in adults age 55 and older, and is the most common cancer in children under age 15. The diagnosis of Leukemia requires specific blood tests, including an examination of cells in the blood and marrow. Treatment and prognosis depend on the type of blood cell affected and whether the Leukemia is acute or chronic. Chemotherapy and blood and marrow transplant are often used to treat Leukemia.

We at New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation encourage each one to campaign for raising awareness of leukemia and educating the world on the signs and symptoms of this condition by working together to help leukemia patients get diagnosed and provide better outcomes for them. You can make a difference no matter who you are and where you live. Another point is to also encourage people to get seen by a healthcare professional as this will help reduce the numbers of preventable leukemia deaths across the world and provide patients with greater outcomes.
