Road Safety Month: A Caring Advice To All Motorists That Keeping Cool On The Road Can Save Lives And Yours

There has been a steady number of accidents on the road lately from what we learn on the news. Accidents that lead to fatal casualties, or deadly encounters with motorists that happen to be armed with guns suddenly pointing at you because they simply lost all their patience in a snap. It is an unfortunate scenario on the road to risk our lives in the heap of an argument, when the main priority is to focus on getting home safe and sound to be with our family and loved ones. Although Road Safety Month is not just the practice of self-control in the midst of provocation on the road, but to also promote responsible road use, to raise awareness about the economic and health costs of road accidents, and ultimately reduce road traffic fatalities and injuries.

We at NMPC promote awareness of responsible traffic knowledge and road etiquette, especially in a car-centric metropolitan city such as Metro Manila. The whole month of May is dedicated to Road awareness campaigns from various government agencies, and collaborative efforts from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) that work hand-in-hand to implement road safety programs and initiatives.
