International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

The use of illegal drugs bears no good fruit from the beginning. Once you get into using it, it takes you down this intoxicating rabbit hole that almost never gets you back out. Its restrictive and illegal properties shut you down and eventually target your physical and mental health. This is mostly possible due to the unapprehended smuggling of illegal goods. One helpful way to get this checked and regulated is the practice of prevention. It is considered that to address this challenge would be the possible adoption of a scientific-based approach that prioritizes prevention and treatment. The global drug problem faces a wide range of challenges that involves the lives of millions worldwide. This ranges from individuals struggling with illegal substances and the usage of these substances that make them fall into deep physical and mental detachment. This way of living may spread out through communities that these people engage with that makes them grapple with the consequences of drug trafficking and organized crime.

NMPC is eager to voice out against the impact of drugs in our communities – how it degrades the soul and shortens the future of an individual under the shackles of illegal drug use. The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, or World Drug Day, is celebrated on June 26 every year to encourage and strengthen action and participation as we opt to achieve a world free of drug abuse and drug influence within our communities. Together, let us boost and heighten our efforts to combat the global drug problem, through our remarkable science, compassion, and solidarity. It is through these collective actions and calls for change do we attain solutions and create a world full of empowered individuals, leading healthy and fulfilling lives.
